Hotel Lav Vukovar

Location was great, right in the centre of town Staff were lovely and very accommodating We ended up getting a bigger room on the top floor, very large room, lots of space No coffee making facilities in room, but staff were always happy to make a coffee at the bar Had a lift Iron on request Mini bar Breakfast was nice, not a wide variety of food but delicious

Hotel is quite dated, carpet in our room was very stained, curtains were torn, door to rooftop would not open, air conditioning was very poor, The staff were wonderful, they have no control over how the hotel is maintained, but it does need some maintenance and upkeep

Do not pay for the breakfast. There is no variation of cheese, meat, the omelett is cold and there is only one kind of bread - toast. But the toaster doesn‘t work and nobody wants to fix it or find some other solution. Everything at breakfast seemed as cheap as possible and unfortunately every other guest here was disappointed too. The room was okay and clean, but there was no water cooker, which was unfortunate too. The lady at the reception was very friendly.

In general the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was very good.

Very outdated and worn. Almost no water came out of the shower head. Mostly it just leaked out of the hose and never made it to the shower head. The room would not cool down. It was 29 during the day and only cooled to 25 at night. It was cooler if you just opened the windows at night but of course there were no screens in this old hotel so then you had bugs all over the room. The carpeting was badly stained. The small freezer compartment so was so iced over you couldn't close the refrigerator door and water leaked onto the floor. I booked this hotel so I could use the work out facilities. The thermostat was ripped off the wall and the floor unit wouldn't turn on. For some unknown reason, you weren't allowed to use the gym until 9am. By this time of the day, it was very hot in the gym almost ensuring heat stroke. If there was no A/C in the gym, why not let people use it during the cool time of the day? The equipment in the gym was old and there was clearly no upkeep. All of the padding on the benches was gone and some nasty, dirty old yoga mats were placed on the benches where the padding used to be. There was an extremely unpleasant woman around on my second morning. I could feel her negative energy when I walked across the parking leaving the hotel as she was arriving at work. I had to deal with her once at the front desk. This woman really shouldn't be in the service industry. She was not wearing the same uniform as the other employees implying she was management. Strange choice. Maybe the owner's daughter or wife????

Nice hotel, located close to all important facilities - we travelled for work, so for us it was important to have parking available, to be close to the port and to have good breakfast - all this was available at this hotel.
