"Thanks again for sharing this beautiful place"

We had a lovely stay at the Apple Cider Lodge watching the tides moving in and out, eating farmfresh eggs for breakfast, sipping cider as a sundowner and sleeping in heavenly beds. The Lodge provided everything we needed and even more (our 2.5 yo was so happy about the toys). The surrounding offers many great spots to explore as beaches, regional parks, restaurants, shops, weekend markets and many more.

The only thing we disliked was that we had to leave.

"We did enjoy our stay"

The location and privacy and comfort

We were very disappointed that the lawns weren’t mown or gardens weren’t tidy. Also the patio could have been swept. We also felt it was overpriced .

The photosdo not do it justice. It was stunning, stylish & rustic as well as peaceful.

I would have liked more crockery, cutlery, salad bowls & servers.

"Perfect peaceful hideaway"

Apple Cider Lodge is a fabulous peaceful place to stay. A beautiful place right on the estuary with everything that you need for a relaxing break. The fresh eggs for our breakfast were delicious and a welcome surprise. Would absolutely recommend staying here

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave !

"Awesome little hide-away!"

Beautiful little hide-away in a newly renovated house (has a bit of an Tuscan look and feel). A bit of a mix up with the booking (we did it last minute), but the owners were quick to resolve it and were still very welcoming. Heaps of wild bird song at dusk and dawn. Free oranges, fresh eggs and a bottle of locally brewed cider topped it off. Easy drive to Matakana and surrounding areas; highly recommend visiting Brick Bay Wines & Sculpture Trail: https://www.brickbay.co.nz/
