Sapa Legacy Hotel

1. The Sapa Lake View as this is the only view that I haven't got ever since I started visiting Sapa. 2. The breakfast has quite a spread. It did its job for me because I do have dietary restrictions as a Muslim. For the non-muslims and non-vegans it's really, really substantial and cheap. 3. Thanks to Ms Thu & Ms Hang for arranging my shared limousine transportation to Ninh Binh.

1. The guests and the staff (?) smoke in the restaurant. I read somewhere in the guests reviews about the same thing. I think the hotel should put a stop to it. 2. The non-speaking English staff; it makes you exasperated as you can't even ask basic questions. It's common here though in Vietnam. 3. Suddenly no hot water in my bathroom room that I had to take cold water shower.

We really enjoyed this location and the outlook, with a balcony overlooking the lake. Very close to all the action of Sapa, but a little quieter and more relaxed. A little confused as the hotel is named Sapa Legacy but everything was branded Max Hills? The room was a great size, with furniture and fittings nicely decorating the room. The massive bed while on the firmer side was comfy enough and the team kindly accommodated more pillows. Great air conditioning! Believe it or not this is hard to come by in Vietnam but this unit was perfect to keep a comfortable temperature of the room.

The staff (apart from one girl with glasses at reception and housekeeping) were more interested in themselves than providing service to guests. They either constantly frowned or wouldn’t even speak to assist. Breakfast left much to be desired. Limited buffet, items not replenished and basic foods. In hindsight we would have preferred to have breakfast elsewhere. The shower head in our room was broken, squirting water all over the place and ran out of hot water while in use. Chair inside our room was torn had a damaged (shorter) leg meaning it couldn’t have been used. The balcony on this building is part of the reason we chose this hotel, but would be nice to have seating out here to enjoy the view.

The location was perfect and accessible. The view on our balcony was really wonderful. Friendly and accommodating staff. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We’ll definitely book this hotel again when we come back to Sapa!

Worth every penny. The lake view room is exactly across the lake. Bathroom is remodeled recently. With the price point, there’s absolutely no complain
