Maja House Penida

Everything was good for the value we paid. The room was clean, the host was very helpful, and there was a water gallon outside the bungalow, so you could refill your bottle as many times as you wanted.

One thing to improve is the door from the bathroom, it looks old and damaged. It would be nice to have a solution to be taken against ants. They are coming out of nowhere during the night. We had spray for insects, so it helped us out but every evening we needed to spray the place where we saw them coming to make them disappear.

The rooms are large and spacious. The grounds were quiet and off the main road. Short drive to the main pier on the island and restaurants, beach areas. We’d recommend a scooter to get around

The bathroom was very small with lots of ants as there was a hole to the outside on the wall. There weren’t any staff available most of the time

We enjoyed our stay here, it has a great price/quality ratio. The room is quite big, the bathroom a bit small but the water pressure is good. It has everything you need though, and it also has a patio where you can sit outside. The owner is amazing, he can help you with everything. He even negotiated better prices for us for boat trips etc. I hurt my ankle during my stay, and he did absolutely everything to help, really appreciated that. All in all great stay and value for money!

He will warm welcoming and help you a lot in all you need, he can help you also with tour and giving you advices or recommendations about good places where to eat or have breakfast. Roni is amazing and a great person! He even drove me without charge to the town to find a ATM. He is a really nice guy. Thank you Roni for helping me. I ended up extending my stay for 3 more night because i felt very comfortable here. Definitely best place to stay in Nusa Penida. The most comfortable bed I had in all trip in Indonesia. Good WiFi and also a terrace with chair a door to sit outside. Inside you don't have a luxus but is very comfortable and all what you need. There is also possibility to refill your water and there is free coffee and tee. Budget friendly price! Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Nusa Penida. Don't think twice and book it.

Everything was great

Roni is a great host, organizing tours, helping with transport, we rent a scooter from the place. His recommendations were also good!

Very good value for money. Nice clean property, air con worked well. Ronnie is very friendly and more than willing to help with anything you need. Very close to restaurants and bars which are a short walk away.

Bathroom was adequate, shower was not the best but despite this we really enjoyed our stay.

Highly highly recommend staying at this guesthouse if you want the best stay on Nusa Penida - I extended an extra 3 nights because it was so good! Great location, clean rooms, peaceful surroundings, and super comfy beds! And Roni the owner is amazing - so friendly and helpful, and it really did feel like a home away from home.
