Red Coconut Villa

Kathrin et son mari sont des hôtes merveilleux. Un accueil comme si nous étions de la famille. L'endroit une pépite, calme beau un décor très recherché. Les chambres sont magnifiques et confortables. La piscine, superbe. L'endroit est situé à deux pas d'une sublime plage. Nous avons diner sur place le mari de Kathrin est un chef délicieux diner. Petit déjeuner parfait. Ils ont eu la gentillesse de nous réserver une chambre pour le lendemain afin que nous puissions prendre notre douche avant de reprendre l'avion pour colombo l'après-midi. Cet endroit est un vrai paradis que nous avons du quitter avec regret.

Paradise! The lush gardens, the pool area was just wonderful. Katherin and Aruna were so friendly and informative. His cooking was out of this world and we thoroughly enjoyed treating ourselves to the surprise menu. Breakfast too was wonderful. Very informal and quirky, it was good to chat with the owners and staff. Only 3 rooms in this boutique hotel made it feel really personal and indulgent. Enjoyed having the dogs around as we missed ours back home. So close to beach as well. It was perfect.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Red Coconut Villa war einfach perfekt – eine glatte 10 von 10! Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir von einem wunderschönen Ambiente empfangen. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, alles ist äußerst gepflegt und strahlt eine besondere Ruhe und Wärme aus. Man merkt sofort: Hier steckt Herzblut drin. Die Hosts sind unglaublich aufmerksam, herzlich und kümmern sich mit echter Hingabe um ihre Gäste. Es fühlt sich nicht wie ein gewöhnlicher Aufenthalt an, sondern vielmehr wie ein Zuhause auf Zeit – familiär, entspannt und persönlich. Ein absolutes Highlight ist das Essen: außerordentlich gut, auf höchstem Niveau und mit viel Leidenschaft zubereitet. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk wirklich – jedes Gericht ist ein Genuss und hebt sich deutlich von allem ab, was man sonst kennt. Die Red Coconut Villa ist eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Für uns ist klar: Das ist der Place to be in Bentota. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen – ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt!

Red Coconut Villa is a great spot to stay while exploring Bentota. Kathrin is a very friendly host who allowed us to stay in and use our room until late in the day due to our late night flight home. The rooms are comfortable & the gardens are lovely and the pool and pool area are a terrific spot to cool down. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely setting with the colorful japanese motifs and decorations. Easy access to the beach across the road. Great pool. Fabulous seafood dishes for dinner. Large rooms.

Rooms lacked natural daylight but this did keep the rooms cool.

Perfect breakfast and dinner cooked by the owner an his staff. Ecellent food with asian touch, sushi also available. Extremly friendly staff...

A quirky off the road setting with the owners adding a colourful slant to the property. All open plan. The owner is a great cook Aruna and his wife Kathrin is a great host. Lovely pool. A very relaxing spot with only 3 rooms so it was lovely and quiet. The hosts organised massages for us which were great.

It's probably the most weird homestay we have tried. The whole property looks like a jungle. Exceptionally maintained. If only they could clean the pool more often. We arrived in the afternoon and wanted to go for a swim but the pool was literally filled with insects.

The only problem is that it's far from everywhere so options are extremely limited if you don't have a car. And, the beach doesn't have a lot of options, either.
