Kia Ora Apartment

Super zentrale Lage, sehr geräumig und sauberes Apartment. Sehr netter und schneller Kontakt mit der Vermietung. Von außen macht es einen dubiosen Eindruck aber innen ist das Apartment wirklich schön gemacht :) Zugehöriger Parkplatz auf dem Hinterhof ist ein großes Plus, damit man sich keine Gedanken machen muss.

Der Wasserhahn im Bad ist etwas undicht. Wenn man das Wasser länger laufen lässt, sammelt sich um das Becken Wasser (kann zwar mit Handtüchern aufgewischt werxen, sollte aber gefixt werden)

Location walking distance to restaurants. Apartment was a nice size and was equipped nicely to Make yourself at home. Communication about how to access the apartment was excellent

No air conditioner and unable to open the windows. We visited in summer and the apartment was uncomfortably warm. To add insult to injury, the underfloor heating was on in the kitchen, bathroom and second bedroom spewing even more heat into the apartment making it very difficult to sleep. The outside of the apartment building was very poorly kept with torn window screens and debris. many of the apartments had metal window grates suggesting that this was not a safe neighborhood.

Smaller room did have heating which could not be controlled. Most likely Geothermal. Fine for winter but did get a bit warm during November.

We liked the convenient location in a very quiet part of town. We could walk all over for coffee, restaurants, etc. and there was parking for our car. It was very well situated. It was also fairly clean and quite roomy in the living room and kitchen area.

The apartment building itself is a dump, the bedroom windows couldn’t even be secured which was concerning being that we were on the ground floor and open to the sidewalk. And because there was no a/c, you had to leave the sliding door and the windows open if you wanted air flow. Anyone could just walk right in. Luckily it’s right next to the town’s police station so we just went with it. Also, the living room couch, while large, was in need of deep deep cleaning and the living curtains are so old they’re falling apart. It was odd because the rest of the apt is very updated and clean.

Location is very central. East to walk to most bars and restaurants. Nice and spacey loads of room in the lounge area. Undercover parking.

The apartment block obviously sits on geothermal heating pipes. This being a ground floor apartment it gets the heat. It was unbearable to sleep. God knows how hot it would get in summer!! No A/C only a couple of fans.
