Annex at The Stables in the Heart of England

We loved the very comfortable super-king bed, the walk-in shower, the luxurious towels, the well-equipped kitchenette and the location - only ten minutes from our family! The comprehensive guide to the accommodation and local facilities. The Annex was very clean and warm. The host, Emma, was very responsive to our needs.

Personally, being 'country-folk', we didn't like the constant traffic noise from being on a main road, although it was a bit quieter over Christmas. The window blinds unfortunately let the light in where they joined - Emma was very good and turned off the outside light for us which helped. We felt the kitchenette and the bedroom could have had either a door or curtain between them to help reduce the traffic noise and the light. We had a small problem with the hand-held shower where the water pressure suddenly forced it up and sprayed the ceiling - the bracket needs tightening. Parking onsite was not that easy - difficult entrance angle - we were able to park for unloading and loading, but ended up parking on a side road nearby for the rest of our stay.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. A really lovely, surprisingly spacious, annexe. The host hadn't missed a thing...everything provided that you need...and more! This was our second stay at The Stables, and we will book again when we need to stay in the are. We loved the touch of a Xmas tree when we stayed this week. Host is always very quick to respond.

Absolutely nothing! There is nothing not to like!

Every convenience was provided, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean.

The only fault I can think of, which is more a personal taste, is I don’t like carpet in a bathroom.

There’s nothing not to like about it

Comfy bed and very clean and spacious

No parking and the strong smell of the bedding. Also the strong smell of the diffusers in the bedroom and bathroom. Some people are very sensitive to these things and it makes them cough and wheeze and unfortunately that was one of us. We also didn't like the fact we were made to strip the bedding off the very large bed when one of us has mobility problems and we have never made in a place where we have been made to do that.

Was an amazing stay, the apartment is lovely and very clean, the bed is comfortable and the location is very good as well, walking distance from the main street.

Really cute place, beautifully decorated, functional. Walking distance to where we needed to be. Very generous goodie bag with cookies and snacks. Useful information in folder.

The key safe box was a little temperamental and needed several attempts to open.
