The location was good. Close enough to the highway, shops, and the beach. The price was good. Even though it was a contact free checkin, the host was responsive via WhatsApp.

One of the beds felt unsafe to sleep on, as it squeaked loudly every time I moved. There is no dryer, and the washing line was constantly full. They also didn’t allow us to hang clothes on the balcony. The apartment is on the first floor, and carrying luggage upstairs without an escalator was quite a challenge.

The property was not serviced. There was no soap or shower gel, only hand soap. There were no hand towels.

Booked a property with two rooms for my colleague and myself, but upon arrival two of the three bedrooms were locked. Why advertise a 3-bedroom apartment if you're going to limit which room(s) are available? I was told the owner locks them off so his guests don't squeeze in more people than they pay for, but as an honest and frequent traveler for work, this was offensive. The apartment is filled with shouty laminated messages, the double bed is very uncomfortable and squeaky, and the parking bay is extremely awkward. No hand towels or toiletries, and right next door to a huge construction site. A bizarre experience, deeply inhospitable, and I wish I had read the reviews. My first time feeling unwelcome in Plett.
