Very comfortable accommodation. Met our requirements extremely well. very helpful and friendly on arrival

Superb location. Spacious rooms over 2/3 floors. Very comfy beds. Good kitchen.Unimprovable views over the market place. Lovely town. Great pub (v. upmarket) & pub grub downstairs

Dim lights in lounge and bedroom. Could do with a little more bedroom storage

The accommodation was very spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. The technical equipment worked perfectly.

Wonderful accommodation with amazing views. Would recommend for long or short stays. Good for couples or families. Modern kitchen, comfy sitting and sleeping areas. Photos didn't do it proper justice. It was much better.

Very steep stairs with narrow treads but that is what you expect in a period property. Could be a problem for anyone with bad legs.

The landing sensor sensitive light would light up at night automatically when someone up for the toilet. Not ideal if you leave bedroom door open too. Bedroom door hinges could do with a drop of butter

Lovely lovely staff. Every member of staff we met/spoke to were all really polite, friendly & helpful. Lovely area for a stay close to York. Perfect pub for a birthday meal & also had a v tasty Sunday Lunch too. Lovely food & service all the way!

The only things are v minor. We stayed in the Inkeepers House (apartment about the pub). The rooms were great, but like some reviews we read before we arrived (sinks above the toilets were a little tricky for the children to do teeth etc) ...not sure if a sink could be added in one of the rooms/landing space? (But probs v expensive for the benefit gained). Also the auto lights which came on when movement sensed were useful for the stairs etc (but a little bright when the kids moved slightly in the night - suddenly floodlit landing). But everything else was fab!

Fabulous location , great food at the George, excellent bedding and well equipped.

The staircases were a bit steep for older people. The washbasin on top of the toilets were a bit difficult to manage but with limited space not sure anything else could be done.
