Basil Leaf Resort

Location is walking distance from the varsoli beach.

Small resort with 8 rooms. Owner (cum manager) is very rude, ill mannered and rigid in everything. He called after booking online through 'booking.com' and said 30% advance payment has to be done without which they would cancel the booking. This is inspite of booking.com mentioning that entire payment has to be done at the hotel. The staff is untrained. They even provided drinking water in the room after a lot of argument as they only want guests to buy bottled water. Breakfast options are very limited and very average quality. The bill presented at checkout had items added that I did not consume. I'd have ended paying the same had I not checked the bill carefully! They refused to give a bill at checkout as they don't have GST number.

The only things that were missing were the gaming facilities like carrom, TT, etc.

The staff is very attentive and polite, and the service is excellent. You just name it and they will provide. There are no restrictions you just enjoy your stay. Breakfast and food was also good. Overall an amazing experience. And it actually is just 2 mins walking distance to Varsoli beach!!
