"Glamping in a magical place, magnificent nature, pristine beaches with two generous hosts"

10.0

Planta Glamp is truly a magical place filled with the sounds and sights of nature, with the comfort and luxury of platform screened in cabanas, and a warm welcoming vibe and community you would find in an awesome hostel. There was the added dreamlike quality of an abundance of ripe mangoes like sundrops raining down daily - that Nayo and Javier generously offer to guests along with excellent recomendations and a large heaping of love and laughter. It was absolutely incredible. The location is lovely, feels like you are glamping in the jungle, with colorful parrots and the sounds of waves breaking not far from gorgeous aquamarine bays with coral reefs and abundant beautiful fish. If you love nature, love community and want to be close to beautiful beaches, you do not want to miss this amazing place!

My daughter and I absolutely hated saying goodbye and leaving after four days. We should have booked 2 weeks.

"A rustic place for someone who wants to spend some time away from the action."

6.0

Xavier, the owner, is super nice and helpful as was the rest of the staff. The common space is also nice with quaint decor. It's a quiet place if you want to rest.

I felt remote and far from activities, even if the beaches a few km away are quite nice. It was very quiet. There was no cell service so it was tricky for remote working.

"If you want to experience nature …see the Milky Way, and you care about your carbon footprint"

Great coffee and healthy! Other data we used the kitchen to cook our breakfast and they provided cooking oil, spices etc. the night sky was amazing, the quiet, u truly can unplug …are awakened by the sounds of nature, bird calls, roosters, can hear the ocean on some mornings. Filtered water provided. There’s a large room with some weights, loved showers outside in cool water, there’s a library, tv room area , enjoyed resting reading on hammocks, staff very welcoming and helpful, Mayra accompanied us to the beach on one day and she programmed a taxi for us on last day…she was always available…she offered therapeutic massage …it was kinda cool to hitchhike to the beach if u don’t want to pay taxi or if there just isn’t one available…

Bigger fans in the cabins to provide relief from the heat and humidity, there’s ants whose bites don’t hurt much initially but later really itch, need to wear closed shoe or bring bug spray; if your balance is not that good stepping into compost toilets room, floor is uneven. be sure to ask for lantern at night; total 20 min walk to Lil town, El Arenal to get groceries if u plan to eat there otherwise plan to take taxi to eat at the beach.i can see lots more potential like having them mark trails to encourage hiking or maybe they can rent bikes to make it easier for visitors getting to the beach

"Perfect!"

10.0

The place is so beautiful and the owners ar super friendly. We wished we could stay longer! Long time ago since I was so peaceful in nature.

You don't have to go there if you like comfort. The place is very well-kept but it's super basic. You shower out-doors and the tents are just beds with a mosquito net. There are of course animals, but like I said, it's the best place to reconnect with nature, peace and silence.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything was clean and peaceful. It was close to the airport and the beach. The staff made you feel like family. It was very unique. I loved being in the country. I loved the hippy vibe and I loved sleeping in a screened room, was like sleeping outside minus the bugs and rain. Breakfast was a nice touch.

I didn't mind, but you definitely need a vehicle if you want to stay there.

I liked the main house, it is very well decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen area is alright and has everything you need.

I stayed in one of the cabins outside, and I didn't like the fact that you had no privacy. The door is made out of mosquito net, meaning that if your neighbors use the outdoor toilet, they will have to pass by your cabin and will be able to look directly into your "room." Besides that, the room was full of flies and mosquitos, and a huge spider when I first came inside. It makes sense since all the bugs can crawl through the not so well isolated walls and doors. The room didn't have a bin nor a table, forcing you to put your bags on the dusty wood floor. The outdoor toilets had no light, so I had to use my phone if I wanted to pee. All in all, it is okay, but the price is too high given the circumstances.
