Talalla Bay Beach

Wunderschöne Lage, der Ausblick vom Zimmer ist einmalig. Mitten am Strand von Talalla mit Liegen und Schirmen. Der Pool ist super zum abkühlen, da man aktuell wegen der Strömung im Meer nicht gut baden kann. Zimmer sind geräumig, grosse Dusche mit viel Wasser. Das Personal war super freundlich und nett, war immer zur Stelle wenn wir was brauchten oder fragen wollten. Jetzt ist off season und das soll man sich bewusst sein,trotzdem haben wir keinen Nachteil verspürt.Es wird das bestmögliche gemacht was in dieser Zeit zu erwarten ist. Wenn gewünscht wird das Zimmer gereinigt.Auf Vorbestellung hat man uns ein super gutes Nachtessen gekocht. Frühstück war lecker und sehr reichlich. Wasser darf man sich jederzeit bedienen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Nur Kleinigkeiten, wie die Grösse des Bettes (1.60) die nicht ganz unsere Bedürfnissen entsprochen hat. 1-2 Handtücher mehr für Gesicht oder Hände wären toll.

I enjoyed a peaceful stay at Talalla Bay Beach, and I would definitely stay here again. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and as the hotel is situated on the beach, the sea views are wonderful! I also enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves at night whilst lying in bed. The owner and his son were kind and attentive, and they made my stay as comfortable as possible. I also really appreciated the large, freshly-prepared breakfasts, and particularly the fruit platter. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The balcony door frames are wooden, and there are gaps in the frame, so the bedroom became hot at night unless the aircon was kept switched on. As is the case for many guesthouses in Sri Lanka, the bathroom did not have aircon or a fan, and so was often hot and humid.

The location is phenomenal and the staff were so helpful. We forgot an item at the hotel and they messaged to let us know, and then held it for us as we were coming back. Overall a very nice experience and felt well taken care of the entire stay.

Had the loveliest stay at Talalla Bay Beach. The location was perfect for us, really quiet and the whole beach almost to yourself. The property is right on the beach and the rooms overlook the beach. The highlight was the service - all staff were amazing. We ate at the property for breakfast and dinner everyday and I would even go as far as saying it’s some of the best food I’ve ever had! The tuna steak was delicious and the prawns were amazing too. I always assume hotel food is sub par- but not here, better than any restaurant I’ve eaten at. Will definitely be back if I ever return to Sri Lanka!

Great staff, good food, and a spacious room with a good bathroom.

We had a brilliant time here, the location is amazing and you are able to walk straight onto the beach after your excellent breakfast. It was lovely to have use of the pool and to be able to make tea and coffee! Thomas and Yasindu are wonderful, we want to thank them very much for being so kind and helpful, they have really looked out for us and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

The hotel has a great location. Right on the beach, and you always have a direct sea view (from the balcony, while dining, and from the loungers right outside). The service at the hotel is really nice and friendly! The food was also delicious. They were always helpful and took good care of us. To be fair, however, the condition of the hotel must be clearly described: it needs renovation. The windows don't close all the way, the mattress is a bit worn, and the bathroom is small. The water doesn't drain well and it doesn't dry, so your feet always end up wet. The air conditioning doesn't work well. If you're happy with a simple hotel, this is the place for you, and I highly recommend it! However, don't expect a fancy bathroom, good air conditioning, and a new bed.

Great location right on the beach, help yourself tea/coffee and bottled water, balcony with nice view, free use of body boards, good breakfast and dinner

Location is perfect. Directly on the most beautiful beach, which guests have almost to themselves. Thomas was a great host. Great touches include unlimited free refrigerated bottled water and tea and coffee in the lounge. Also surfboards to borrow. Dinner was very good with emphasis on seafood and fish. We also ate at Funky banana along the beach, which was also good.

Some issues with A/C in room dripping if on for more than five hours. Pictures on booking.com not quite accurate as the unfinished building next door is not shown, but this didn't affect our enjoyment.
