Super logement avec la vue sur le nam Ou , tres propre et la petite terrasse avec le hamac j’ai adoré, restaurant a cote tres bon super pratique a 10 ln a pied du port ca en vaut largement le coup.

Can‘t actually review because unfortunately they overbooked and we had to relocate. The place we got to stay at (My village riverside) was absolutely amazing though, so can‘t really complain :)

La chambre avec jolie vue

Il y avait des travaux à proximité donc pas calme. L’hôte n’a vraiment pas été agréable : en arrivant il nous a demandé de payer tout de suite en cash sinon nous ne pouvions pas rentrer dans la chambre. Comportement inacceptable, nous lui avons dit que nous souhaitions simplement poser nos sacs avant d’aller retirer de l’argent. Nous avons donc dû forcer et c’était vraiment peu appréciable de commencer le séjour comme ça. De plus, ce même hôte nous a vendu une croisière en nous mentant sur le contenu : il nous a vendu un bateau de 10 personnes et nous nous sommes retrouvés finalement à 50. Payer 120$ pour ça était inadmissible, publicité mensongère de sa part ! Vraiment malhonnête.

Location is central, rooms and linens clean, and grounds well maintained.

Beds and pillows are hard. Water in shower has poor pressure and only luke-warm water. No kettle, cofffee or tea in room. Minor issues, but noteworthy. Over three weeks, we have had lovely interactions with Lao Guesthouses owners finding all to be hardworking, helpful, kind and with integrity. Based on reviews, we booked two seperate stays at Meexok Guesthouse while in the Nong Khiaw area. When we checked out after our 2nd stay, we were shocked that our bill per night had more than doubled, even though we had a bigger room for our second stay. We were told by the owner it was because we had booked two rooms! He knew we were just 2 persons since we had stayed there 2 nights before. At check out, he acknowledged that he knew it was a mistake, and he even showed us he, had us on his entry sheet for our second stay with my name written twice! Yet when we checked in he intenionally withheld the information that we had double-booked rooms. We understand, we made a mistake somehow booking 2 rooms when we only needed one. But the way he handled it was without integrity, and frankly, felt sleasy.

Les photos sont très trompeuses, les chambres de vrais cagibis, les lits en pierre et la salle de bain plus que rudimentaire. La terrasse était quasi inexistante. L’établissement est en plusieurs emplacement. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit. Trop glauque. On comprend pourquoi ca s’appelle "bonne chance"

The view of the river is nice. Great restaurant attached that does amazing food. Location was close enough to town. The room itself is a bit small but fine for a few days if you’re out and about, maybe a little run down compared to pictures but for the price it’s fine. Hot water was a bit temperamental. Guy was helpful and friendly.
