La Serra Olivetti

The internal architecture of the apartment was incredible. It remained a source of wonder for the whole stay. It was great to be in the centre of the city with a view over the park full of trees and greenery. Roberta responded to my queries with thought and consideration.

I felt uncomfortable to find that most of the building was abandoned. The entry point to the locked gate was uninviting. After finding that the key to the outside gate failed to function on one occasion, I was worried that it might fail to function again. There seemed to be no way of exiting the building without a key, so I was worried what might happen if there were to be an emergency.

Central and good location in the middle of Ivrea near parks and bars.

Outside of the property could do with restoration, but given its a historic building this may happen sooner or later.

Very interesting historical building formerly owned by the Olivetti typewriter company. The building is in the shape of a typewriter and the apartment is in one of the "keys". Apartment is long and narrow. But clean and well appointed. Very responsive hostess. Location is excellent, along the river by a park and close to restaurants and shopping.
