This is a place where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. The hosts CP and Gawie were most welcoming, and we were also given a quick tour on the premises showing its ties to South African history. The views are especially spectacular, and tranquility prevails... The large communal kitchen/lounge with the welcoming fire was a winner... As a keen birder, I was especially surprised at the variety of birds... A múst stop on the way to the KZN Coast...

The fact that we could only stay one night...!

Location, responsive host, accommodates requests to convenience us the guests and lovely chats too with the host. He was also very good at assisting us to find the place as we were getting lost.

I think there is an opportunity to utilise the fireplace to warm up the rooms especially in winter, otherwise the electric blanket did wonders :-)...

Very quiet and serene. The host CJ is very thoughtful and helpful. Beautifully appointed bedrooms.

Nothing much to complain about but the kitchen could have a spatula and the bedroom cupboard a few coat hangers.

The view absolutely blew me away, the serenity and quietness was perfect. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and so knowledgeable. The place has everything you need and is super comfy.

The mist didn't allow us to feast on the stunning views, nor did we get to experience the walk in the forest But it does give us a reason to try again.
