Having to clean my room. It was disgusting.

Hello.  I am emailing you after discussing my stay with your receptionist at your hotel on Monday night the 13th of October.  As you can see from my photograph it was obvious that the room had not been cleaned.  I arrived very tired and I had not noticed how bad the room was. It was not until I was walking barefoot that I noticed black hair around the bathroom. It was everywhere. I attempted to clean it up and thought it was all gone but it was everywhere. I even found it in the bed and pillows on inspection in the morning. Obviously I was oblivious to it all as I was expecting it to be clean.  Not a good night's sleep I can tell you.  I did try to contact you but you have not even bothered to reply. Absolutely disgraceful. The attached photo is of the bedroom floor. I had already cleaned the bathroom floor and flushed the copious amounts of long black hair down the toilet. I was gipping at the thought where I'd find hair next. I was right, in the bed and on the pillows. This accommodation was excellent standard, right by the river and wonderfully clean. It had everything we needed. Very close to a wonderful coffee shop called The Haven.

This property has no lift and it has stairs to the rooms.

Could be a more comfortable area to have a drink, the only available space was the restaurant so felt a little too formal, or the snooker room

Location great with parking directly opposite. Owners very welcoming and accommodating throughout the stay. Dinner menu offered good options including specials. Food was really nice and very reasonably priced. Room was lovely, offered everything you needed. Breakfast included and was nice.

Breakfast served on a small plate making it awkward to eat. Nothing else! Really lovely stay.

Very easy to find, good location. Nice quiet place for our two nights in Thurso.
