If we ever stay in Christchruch we will always stay at the Elmwood. The location is within walking distance into the CBD and located in a very nice part of Christchurch. The manager is extremely helpful and friendly. Beautiful old tudor style accomodation, extremely clean and fresh looking. All the amenities needed for an overnight stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Very clean and modern rooms which look like they have been recently renovated. Was very pleasantly surprised. Whilst the motel is located on Papanui Rd I didn't hear any road noise at night. Motel manager also very nice to deal with.

Only downside was the location of the toilet in the bathroom - was directly in front of the door whereas it looks like it was previously beside the shower (now leaving an unusable gap in the bathroom, and also meant you had to close the door each time you went to the bathroom otherwise people in the driveway had direct line of sight to the toilet).

Lovely renovated place close to the City. Uber was only $10-13. Rooms were very spacious. There was a washing machine and dryer guests could use for $8.

Parking was a little tight for a big car but worked.
