Captains Quarters 4 Apartment

Looks very pretty, comfy bed in bedroom.

We requested sheets etc for the sofa bed these were not present. Gap under apartment door which meant the smoke from the downstairs Chainsmokers was constantly coming into the apartment. Minimal tea and coffee, very noisy as all windows are single glazed. Fridge made noises all night making it difficult for the guest in the living room to slee. Additional costs for damage etc which was not on the initial price!

The place was clean and modern. Easy check in. Great location. Good value for money

There is nothing that I can think of that i didn't like.

The apartment is in a well maintained and clean building. The living space is spacious and well appointed. Good location for Royal William Yard and Edgecumbe Park (via ferry). Pet friendly (upon request).

The arrangement for key collection was confusing as I was given two different locations. One was to a disused office and the stated only the street name, not the address. Drop off for keys was to a closed hotel, requiring keys to be posted through a letter box. Not ideal. I don't usually expect to pay a deposit when reserving on Booking.com. The £150 deposit is not refunded on leaving the apartment but retained for up to 3 weeks! The window frame in the main living room is broken meaning that it is noisy (traffic noise) and drafty. I imagine this is wasteful of heating energy. Difficult to get a response from the host.

Great property, high quality furnishings comfortable bed. Great kitchen facilities. Wonderful location. Excellent helpful communication from staff.

Issues with booking this property were. Having to paying £150 deposit that is held for several days. This was not clear upon booking and I would not have booked had I known this. Also check in had to be done at a different location. Ok if you have a car, but if not added travel time.
