Heins Manor House

Beautiful property in a very prime location. Amazing host, comfortable room and the house itself with lots of history to tell.

Lovely old Cape Dutch house with modern clean bedrooms. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we were served a very nice English breakfast.

My room was very spacious and comfortable with everything I needed. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and friendly. When the bedside lamp stopped working, the host came to replace it immediately.

The pool was a raised plastic rectangle cladded in wooden planks. It was tiny and shallow - had to get on my knees to submerge myself. I feel that the 'swimming pool' listing on the website was slightly misleading - should have been called a plunge pool. The venue is not only a wine farm, but also a pig farm. The odour from the pig enclosures was very strong on hot, windless days.

Dommage qu'il n'y a pas au moins une bouteille d'eau gratuite dans le frigo, nous avons eu une bouteille de vin de leur propriété, le déj est bien mais pas de buffet.

Eigenlijk niets, de kamer zag er redelijk uit.

Vliegen in de kamer, veel kleine dingen die niet kloppen (bv geen water, wel n fles wijn maar dan weer geen wijnglazen, enz) op de site staat dat er een “pool” aanwezig is, in t echt is t niet meer dan een grote badkuip. Dit was onze grootste ergernis! Karig ontbijt. Wij hadden het idee dat de eigenaren t hotel “er maar ff bij deden”, we voelden ons niet echt welkom en daarom een ander hotel gezocht na 1 nacht. 2 nachten weggegooid. De prijs is echt veel te hoog.

No keys fitted any doors to lock. Even the main house door. Both security gates , near the main road and main house were left open, easy access.
