Nishijin Isa Machiya Holiday House

The house is gorgeous - the history of the building is tangible everywhere and the active workshop brings it to life. The kitchen and other amenities are nice, we especially enjoyed the hinoki bath tub. There are restaurants and grocery shops nearby, we truly enjoyed finding a newly opened bar, Brill, just around the corner. They even started serving breakfast in our last morning in Kyoto! Getting around Kyoto was easy with a number of buses going in all directions from Nishijin.

The futons and pillows took a bit getting used to.

La casa più bella e comoda che potessimo trovare! Una vera casa di inizio '900, ristrutturata e attrezzata. Con ampie zone vivibili e due ampi bagni (con riscaldamento a pavimento e meravigliosa vasca in legno). Non credo di aver mai soggiornato in una casa tanto bella. IL giardino e la vista sulla fabbrica di kimono inoltre sono una vera chicca!! Per la prima volta inoltre abbiamo dormito sui futon e non abbiamo assolutamente sentito la mancanza dei letti. Noi abbiamo soggiornato qui per 4 notti e dopo due giorni hanno effettuato la pulizia. Consigliatissimo!!

We loved everything about this beautiful period home. We all slept well in the futons and enjoyed the deep bath. It is full of character and well positioned for sightseeing.

寝室、洗面所、お風呂いずれも清潔で使いやすかったです。床暖房があり、助かりました。2階のリビングもゆったり過ごせました。通路や2階から工房が見学できたのも最高でした。

洗面台の栓の開閉が調子悪かったです。常時閉まっていて水が流れず、どうしたら栓が開くのかわからず試行錯誤しました。わかりやすい表示があると助かります。
