Ty Gwyn Farmhouse

The unique charm of the property and the incredible warmth and generosity of the owners. The bath was lovely with soft Brecon mountain water and none of your generic bath bubble but very quality stuff as well as Ecover for washing up in the kitchen. Hugely comfy and quiet. A very special.place hosted by very special.people.

Charming period cottage, bags of character, surprisingly roomy inside, homely pieces throughout, well-stocked bookshelves, kitchenette is tiny but adequate (microwave, hotplate, kettle, toaster), well-stocked & eclectic crockery & cutlery, very peaceful, considerate & helpful host.

Kitchen is very limited if you wish to cook for 4 or more. Fridge is tiny too so the shopping we bought didn’t fit

Lighting in one bedroom and living area could have been better as property is very dark in some areas ( being a few hundred years old, it is obviously dark with small windows etc) The kitchinette area, whilst well equipped was a “little difficult to access” in respect of an under sink cupboard. It needed an extra shelving area as everything was piled up on one level. But it was not the end of the world. Whilst the place is full of character and the owners are so lovely and welcoming, the stairs etc might be an issue for some people with mobility issues

It was a shame one of the top attic bedrooms didn’t seem to have any blinds for the windows and the windows couldn’t open, a bit of a problem on a very hot day in summer and means we couldn’t use this room as a bedroom if we needed to.
