Very beautiful hotel, in front of the castle. Room big, comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast.

The location is smack in the middle of Kars, just under Kars castle and central to lots of restaurants. You're not going to beat this location with any other hotel, bar none. The hotel is new and in a super-nicely converted building (it's unclear what it was - but perhaps a large barn or stables of some sort) and it combines rustic features of old stone with nice new, warm wood. The rooms were nicely sized and comfortable and the bathrooms modern with all the amenities we were looking for. The hotel is adjoined to a popular cafe in Kars (which is also owned by them) and served up an overwhelming traditional Turkish breakfast everyday. Super value in this.

Everything was excellent here. Breakfast was huge and fantastic. Staff very helpful linking us with drivers for transport and collecting us from train.

The hotel is well-located, very close to Kars castle. The area around the hotel has nice cafes and restaurants. The staff are very helpful. On both days we needed to leave early and they arranged early breakfast for us. The room was also comfortable and well-designed.

Beautiful building - superbly renovated. Location was perfect as was breakfast.

Perfect location for the purpose of our trip. Situated at the base of an imposing castle well worth looking at, beautiful view from the top. Easy access for our intended trip to Ani, a 45 minute taxi ride away. Delicious food served at breakfast. Very helpful manager, John, (probably not the correct spelling of his name), of the hotel and restaurant next door. Delightful cafe attached to the hotel, also, another a short walk away. Easy access to airport.

One room had limited window area in eave of roof and curtains let light into room as soon as daylight. First night traffic noise could be heard outside. One member of party a little bit cold at night during our late April trip.
