The Artist Studio

Beautiful apartment, high quality furnishings and the artwork was excellent. Norman, the owner, was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. The wine in the fridge was a lovely surprise, and we really loved the addition of the ice maker.

Everything was perfect.

I loved the decor and the lighting...very atmospheric. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork and the overall feel is similar to a New York loft apartment...superb! The location is also very handy for shops, pubs, and walking.

No teapot, arrgh! That's my only complaint and only because I do love my tea. But it's wasn't a deal breaker, the feel of the place made up for it.

The interior was stunning and so modern. It was equipped with everything we needed and was very fairly priced. Obviously the art truly made it a special place to stay.

We did find it to be a little too warm in the apartment. I'm unsure if the heating was on. The sofas were also slightly uncomfortable, but other than that, it was absolutely perfect!

I liked everything except one thing. The place is excellent, great location, nicely kitted out kitchen area, bed was nice and comfortable, great shower. I know, how could I be giving such a low score!!

Too noisy. The family make too much noise in what I can only assume is the kitchen of the main property, moving furniture, dropping metal implements etc. it's just not a relaxing environment. There is an air conditioning unit just outside the bedroom window that rattles and keeps you awake. The whole point of somewhere to stay when away from home is sleep, everything else can be amazing but if you can't sleep it's not good.

Everything was perfect, a pure pleasure and would highly recommend. So many delightful features and welcoming host. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Xxx

Everything was so clean. Also, excellent facilities: dishwasher, ice make, oven, microwave, fridge. And Norman, the host, was so attentive.

Fantastic accommodation very tastefully decorated and ideally situated for exploring Lancashire and Cumbria

It was hard to find anything to dislike but the two sofas were not very comfortable other than that excellent

The studio is beautiful and very well kept, Norman explained to me that one of his sons produced the amazing artwork displayed and it really was very impressive. The studio had everything I needed for a weekend break and I would definitely visit again.

Can’t fault it, everything was perfect.
