Really great value for money. The braai/pool area was great. It was very clean and tidy.

It would be nice if there were things like soap by the bathroom sinks, dishcloths in the kitchen.

Stairs - I booked a ground floor unit as we are pensioners ( staff carried our luggage up) Blankets smelled musty Bathroom was cold as wind came in the broken canvas. The light came in the lightweight reed blinds on the windows at daybreak.

Location and in nature

Communal kitchen was dirty, lacking cutlery and crockery. Its 250m from the cottage, making even coffee a challenge. We had no hot water the Friday evening and the Saturday morning NO water. Rats running around in the ceiling at night.

Location is amazing and has potential to be a great place.

We were the only guests and we weren't even expected even though we'd booked. Locked our a couple of times. A little eerie being the only one's there.

We were moved to bushbaby without even been asked. Bushbaby was disgusting my girls came home with bed bugs. I will put in a review to the necessary people involved in this disgusting situation eventually left a day early.

Everything as we were not accommodated even though we had paid in full.

The bath!

Lots!! First off the staff attempted to change our booking 2 days before we were due to arrive as they had a large party booking in. In hindsight that may have been a better option. It was difficult to get into the establishment as the intercom at the gate didn't work, and the phone number listed on the sign was not answered. The property was dirty with litter lying all over as you drive through the premises. It is extremely overgrown an unkempt. There is absolutely no signage showing where/how to get to the cottage! Once at the cottage we discovered that the aircon advertised did not work. The general cleanliness was way below expectations. The kitchen was dirty and very ill equipped. No glasses, no teaspoons, no cutting board to name a few. When we were given braai equipment, the pan was rusted and the utensils dirty! The appliances were old/damaged and in need of replacement. Numerous light bulbs weren't working, the light switch in the one spare room is a safety hazard. The plumbing, taps and fittings are in a sad state, with barely a trickle from the basin in the bathroom. There are a few leaks, namely bathroom and kitchen. The main entrance door and the bathroom door need attention as they are quite difficult to open and close! The braai facilities can only be explained as industrial! The staff member that tried to help us, was pleasant in her dealings but it appeared she may have been a little out of her depth. There was noise late into the night, and every morning besides Sunday, from before 6am the other "guests"/contract workers were starting machinery and making a noise/banging & crashing with whatever they were doing? There was laundry belonging to the other guests hanging all over as you entered. We had no choice, with it being a long weekend but to stay as there was no alternative accommodation in the area! We will most definitely not go back there, or refer this establishment to anyone!

The chalets were nice and clean however maintenance is falling behind, eg Shower heads need descaling. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Maintenance of what was obviously once a beautiful facility is falling short and becoming evident.
