Nice pool and comfortable rooms, friendly staff who picked us up at the airport and let us store our luggage there for a day

Mosquito nets need some adjustment, the way they are set up leaves plenty of room to have mosquitos get in

The hotel is relatively new and comfortable for Mafia standards. Nice swimming pool. Be aware that Kilindoni as almost nothing to offer to tourists.

The restaurant was very disappointing and inadequate to the price. Food was miserable and the service slow and irritating. The overall staff should be changed completely including the chef

Lovely clean hotel in excellent location. the AC is key! It is hot here. Pool was lovely, food was good. Staff pleasant and front desk very helpful. Rooms were clean.

Staff was a bit “relaxed” in terms of service. But that is the vibe here! I read other reviews and was a bit nervous but honestly do not understand some of them.

The property has a wonderful pool, and large, clean, modern rooms with air conditioning. The staff, especially Hamidu at the front desk were kind and really helped make our stay very comfortable. You could easily walk from the airport to the hotel, but the hotel will happily arrange transport for a fee. We organised our whale shark and full day snorkelling through the hotel and they were both fantastic! The whale shark tour started a 7min Tuktuk ride away, while the snorkelling tour was about half an hour away to the marine park on other side which means you have to pay the marine fee. Worth it. And nice to stay on the side where you don’t need to pay the fee everyday. The activities needed to be paid in cash, but the hotel and meals can be paid with card. There’s an ATM around short walk away. The restaurant is good, a loved the banana milkshake!

Being by the beach is cooler, but the air conditioning in the rooms is good.

We went as a family with kids. Ofcourse value for money compared to those hotels near to the beach. Mafia is a big island but inhabitants is low. Having said that, this hotel was near to any basic amenities required. It is even just 5 to 7 minutes walk to the domestic airport. The staffs welcomed us very well and made our stay exceptionally perfect. They even organized good deal excursion, we all kids managed to see whale-shark and swim with them at Kilindoni which was 10 minutes drive from this hotel. Even snorkeling and blue-lagoon was amazing at Utende which was about 40 minutes drive. All transport was well provided and taken care of us. Looking forward to be back!

The pics don’t show just how lovely this hotel is…the gardens are beautiful, rooms are bright and spacious, huge bed, fridge etc all set around the pool & garden. Also ate lunch / dinner every day and the food is excellent / octopus in coconut sauce was a fave! and it’s a good varied menu so plenty of choice. WiFi and power both consistent, wifi reached the rooms, staff are great. Literally 3mins drive from airport…very good option if staying this side of the island. Highly recommended!

Nice rooms, huge bed. A/c worked well. Had hot water. Pool was nice! The staff were amazing. The food we ordered from the restaurant for dinner was some of the best we had in Tanzania.
