Prime location near the town and in a tree house

This place is a hidden gem with fabulous views over tea plantations and train tracks. The chill-out area is adorable with little bean bags and hammocks. Great for socialising but definitely not a party hostel. Good food, And the staff are great vibes. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, hot showers, mosquito nets, everything is great! I ended up extending my stay twice and would have loved to stay longer if I had more time. My favourite hostel in Sri Lanka so far <3

Wi-fi is about 5-10 Mpbs which is more than fine for browsing, but I couldn't really take zoom meetings. This is not to say it's bad, but just in case you are a digital nomad like me, you might need to use your mobile data or go into town. I would still come again even knowing this.

The staff was really nice and the location of the hostal was perfect, very close to the city centre. The price quality ratio was very good. The bed was nice!

There were only two showers/toilets available. One of them could not close properly, which gave me a couple awkward situations during my stay. However, the friend I was travelling with did not experience the same problems and thought that there were enough showers. During our stay the shower in our room did not work, I think my complaint is irrelevant whenever this problem is fixed.

Really cool hostel in Ella! Beds were comfy, nice hot shower & great setting overall. The staff were lovely and are always ready to help you. The location is great, with direct access to the trainline, great restaurants nearby & amazing views. Overall, the hostel has a lovely vibe!

There's a lot of music from nearby bars late into the night, so avoid if you're looking for somewhere really quiet.

Loved the location and the view.

The staff here are so so lovely, and it’s a very cool layout and super clean. Nice breakfast included too. There was a mix up of bookings and they handled it so well, gave me a discount and a tent that I actually loved so much that I chose to stay in it for the other nights too. Really cool atmosphere, great people.
