Guest House Asora

Beautiful building that was wonderful to stay at and a really helpful host (gave us great dinner recommendations)!

This place is very clean and full of facilities

We try to be quiet but their floor from kitchen to the room always had a noise. It was uneven floor.

Great location, in walking distance from the Aso train station (about 10 minutes). Guest house was clean and comfortable for two nights stay. Our twin room was big enough, with small sofa, so we could relax there. Bus station is next to the train station. Bus to the volcano works on first come - first serve basis, so it is recommended to go to the station slightly in advance, especially during the rush hours. Local onsen is near to the station but it was closed on Monday, so we were not able to visit it.

The hostess was very nice and helped with planing our days at aso. Also there is a lot of information provided of the area! The guesthouse itself was very warm, clean, nice and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Also a few minutes walk from the station and the convenience store. The kitchen was well a quipped.

A far from restaurants, take the little train to the next station if you want to eat late ! Don't trust bus tables.
