Villa Madu Canggu

location was great

there was no signage on corner of street with villa name so driver couldn’t find it for ages.

the location we great, the staff were very friendly and the villa was very clean.

Arie & Putu were sooooo very lovely to deal with, they really wanted to make sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Location was perfect, right in the heart of a Canggu’s main strip. Very clean property. Lots of potential, it was such a cool place to stay and will be back with friends next time. They provided us with lots and lots of mosquito coils to burn and bug spray. As well as a water filter. Universal adapters were provided which was so very handy!

The sliding door into the living - this was extremely heavy, and for a young fit couple would found this tricky to open themselves, this would probably be difficult for elderly or disabled. Having more signage off Batu Bulong and into the lot of Villas would be extremely handy as we were lost for ages and no one knew where the villa was which was difficult without phone reception and driving on such a busy road looking for the laneway. Mosquitos were an issue; but that’s what you get during the wet season. Privacy was an issue from outside the villa looking in - the kitchen requires some frosting on it to prevent peeping Tom’s looking in so we ended up having to put the pillows up as a wall along the window as people walking by kept looking into the Villa. As well as a big window in the fence which people looked into, the beauty of a villa is to have complete privacy but with this we felt like we still had to be careful. Living area doesn’t have comfy couch set up, especially as 2 of the bedrooms don’t have tv’s so when you have a night to relax indoors the couch was very uncomfortable and was only really suitable for 1 person to lay out on. I’d recommend a Modular for families and friends to use. There weren’t any Safes available to lock away passports, money, etc. which made me feel a bit uneasy as my partner and I carried a lot of money around with us from Australia - however everything was fine, it’s still good to know that your personal belongings are locked away and safe
