Peaceful Riverfront cottage in small northland town

Had a nice view of river. Bed comfortable. Quiet and secluded

I didn’t like having no doors on bedroom. I think it could have been cleaner. Oven

The cottage was clean and functional, in a very quiet location but close to a fabulous beach and Darganville. The cottage is in the process of improvement but is totally functional and did not distract from the comfort it provided.

There was no TV, but this Internet was available

I'm from dargaville, I liked the location the area is quite the house was good for facilities and the manager communicated with me very well I enjoyed My stay and highly recommend

The view was great. Otherwise this place was awful. Would not recommend at all.

The “bedrooms” have no doors on, the place is tiny, the shower is terrible, the “breakfast” was a loaf of cheap bread and some dodgy looking milk with a few options of old cereals. The crockery was old, stained and looked like it needed a good wash. There was one grubby dishcloth for dishes. The fridge freezer makes loud noises all night which when there’s no doors on the bedrooms means no one gets any sleep. The view is beautiful but the back garden isn’t safe at all with a sheer dangerous drop off. There’s no decent seating inside and no useable outdoor space. The paint work was all chipping off, skirting boards dirty and and towels were grotty. The location is fine if you are passing through. It’s more like 40 minutes to Kai iwi lakes not the 15 mins that’s advertised. Neighbours doing burn outs on the grass down the road. Not usually one to leave a bad review but wouldn’t want anyone else to suffer this disappointment. We ended up leaving a day early!
