The property was spacious, well equipped, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hosts left generous amounts of teabags, sugar, biscuits and a bottle of wine. There was even washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and paper towel which is often not available. The location was ideal. Quiet but virtually next to a beach and only 10-15 min walk from dreamland/margate town centre. Check in/out was smooth and the security deposit refunded promptly.

The central heating was difficult to figure out so we gave up. I’m sure the hosts would have helped if we asked but it was May so figured we’d survive without it! Also a non-stick saucepan in the kitchen and big frying pan would have been useful. But these were both minor things that did not particularly impact our stay.

Fabulous house. Very clean and fresh. Spacious. Loved the location, quiet and near beautiful beach and walks.

Great location (not far from train station if you are not driving), a peaceful neighbourhood, and the Westbrook Bay a few yards from the front door is so tranquil and just perfect. We caught a glimpse of a stunning sunset there. Very manageable/walkable distance into Margate town. There is a Tesco Express only a few mins walk away with long opening hours. Host was friendly and very easy to communicate with throughout the trip and also left out quality goodies - a real treat. Everything was immaculate and so clean (I am fussy!). Sun was out and we had the most blissful breakfast in the well designed garden terrace!

It was by the sea front

The property was very restrictive, there was camera on the door which I found very intrusive as it was watching us go in and out. The shower head was filthy it was covered in limescale. The water temperature was hot and cold in the showers too. We actually found it very unusual that there was a boiler in a cupboard in the bedroom, their was a lack of ventilation as it was confined in a small cupboard. The floor boards in the house were terribly noisy however I did notice someone had mentioned this in a previous review. Also in the kitchen, the oven hadn’t been cleaned properly, it was covered in residue from the cleaning products and when we turned it on the kitchen filled with toxic fumes , it’s been claimed to been cleaned with eco friendly products however all cleaning products were under the sink and we didn’t see any eco friendly products. The fumes made 2 of us feel very sick so we decided to check out a day early. The contract signed was so regimented that it made me feel like there was no point contacting the owner. If read throughly you will see they have clearly stated they offer no compensation for any issues with gas , electric and other services We were expected to put the bins out for them which has never happened before , however yes there is a cheap bottle of rosé’ wine left for guest and I’m guessing it’s to insure the guests do not complain.

It is a spacious and lovely property. It may look small from the front but it goes a long way back and is over three floors. The rooms are light and airy and a good a size. Two bedrooms are on the first floor and third bedroom on top floor. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, utensils , cups, glasses and cookware so easy to do meals at the house. The garden is smaller than it appears on the picture but to be honest with the house being so close to the beach we didn’t use the garden. The house is nicely located with the beach a few doors down, a short walk to get into town and a Tesco’s just round the corner.

Location just off the sandy beach was perfect. The kitchen and house were well equipped. Much thought had been given to make the place comfortable and homely.

We gave up trying to control the heating, even after requesting help with it. It came on, though, and the place wasn't cold.
