Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Kingsland

I’ve stayed at this hotel, many times always enjoyed the staff and always enjoyed the amenities.

Since my last day, I don’t think they have a maintenance personal anymore. There seems to be shotty handyman work being done in the rooms my toilet every time I flushed it, the flush valve banged the toilet lid. The carpet was extremely stained and dirty, and the sofa had human excrement stains all over it.

The location was great. That was really pretty much it.

The AC in the room and hallway were both not working properly. The room did not cool down below 76° and the hallway was 78° at its lowest while we were there. I booked this location because of the spa tub available, which helps my autoimmune disease pain after driving all day, but it had been broken for quite a while, and they did not advertise this. The front desk clerk told me I would receive 10% off my room for the inconvenience, then later told me the discount was already reflected in the price I paid on booking.com. If they knew the tub was broken, they should have advertised this, so I could have chosen another hotel. When I asked the front desk staff to please call one of their sister hotels to transfer me to somewhere with AC that wasnt broken and working facilities, I was told they would not do this. To make matters worse, the carpet near the spa tub was completely saturated, and the room smelled like mold. When I contacted hotel management as the front desk staff instructed me to do, I was told "I'm sorry you were less than perfectly satisfied and we hope you give us another chance." There is no way I will give them another chance. They should have refunded the cost of my stay. This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in and I hope at least Booking.com does the right thing and refunds the cost of this stay because it wasnt worth $10, let alone $110. Steer clear of this place. They have terrible service and bad facilities.

The bathroom shower ceiling was covered in black mold. The manger was so rude.

They're getting ready to remodel, so the rooms were not very nice.

Close to highway and other hotels and restaurants.

Smell of weed. Wish breakfast would be earlier.

The girl at the front desk tried very hard to help us. The maintenance technician came back after hours.

Put our luggage in our room and went out and the door knob broke and we couldn't access the room. They had to call the maintenance technician to come and pry the door open.v Then we had to move to a room with one bed instead of 2 with a sleeper sofa.

Staff were all very professional and friendly and were quick in trying to solve our no A/C in room issue . WiFi easy to connect to. Great location. Beds were comfortable

Our room did not have working air conditioning and in Georgia at 98 Degrees during the day we had a rough time sleeping and one night's sleep was all we needed as the hotel was a half way point in traveling to meet and pick up younger grandchildren. Ice machine on our floor also not working.
