South Bay Garden Apartment

The location was excellent and the apartment was lovely and light.

The single beds moved easily.

Location was ideal for south bay, just a short walk in. The apartment facilties were brilliant. There was everything you needed (apart from a microwave but is limited in apartments so understand why there wasnt). Decor and furnishings were really nice, modern apartment with plenty of space. Had street parking with a parking pass provided by the hosts- always had a space to park nearby. Very comfy super king (I think) bed. 2nd bedroom had plenty of spade for a travel cot. Spacious rooms. Messaged the host several times prior to the holiday and she always responded very quickly and was lovely, really helpful. Although we didn't use it there is outdoor space to relax in.

Nothing at all! Just to note that the apartment is not suitable for people with mobility issues due to the flight of steps to the property entrance.

Spacious homely basement apartment not far from town centre and south beach. Ample parking, I scratched the parking permit a day too early and was given another. I'd advise reading the welcome pack first. Host communicated quickly. Milk , prosecco and cookies left as a treat. Good size TV.

We arrived at 3.38 but because the keysafe has a timer had to wait until 4pm to get in. The same checking out rushing around to get the key back in the keysafe and missed it by seconds( a long code). The heating couldn't be controlled so at times it was warm and others cold. Asked for a later one hour checkout as no one was staying but was told it would cost £20! How about just being nice like every other place I stay at saying yes that's no problem. Like other reviews have mentioned the place isn't the cleanest, it's not terrible but it's not amazing. My mum shown me a wipe she had cleaned the toilet with when we arrived and it was filthy. I had to fix the hook on the bathroom door to hang a towel on. The blinds are knackered and need replacing. Both beds are twin beds together and not comfortable.I pretty much like to concentrate on positives when leaving a review but these things need to be mentioned. There's a lot of steps to both the front and back that some people might struggle with. Also the old lady ( just moved in)who we helped in the apartment above made a lot of noise banging about in the middle of the night and her little dog too. I feel like the timed keysafe, controlled heating and charging for a late check out very Draconian.

Lovely accommodation with great facilities. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking equipment and utensils you’d need. The only improvement would be the addition of a microwave – perhaps this could be stored in the boot room cupboard. We stayed over winter with plenty of snow, and outside temperatures dropped to around -5°C. However, the accommodation was warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The property is perfect for families with younger children. The children’s room is equipped with a TV, games, and its own sink. The layout is well thought out, as is the lighting. Our children were a little apprehensive about sleeping in an unfamiliar place, but the adjustable lighting made a big difference and they slept well. They particularly liked the lighting behind the bed. The single beds are ideal for children, though adults may find them a little small if using this room. The main bedroom has a very large bed, bedside tables, plenty of storage for clothes, and towels are provided. Being on the lower ground floor, we were not disturbed at all by noise from the property above. If you are less mobile or travelling with a pram, access may be a little difficult due to the steps. There is a small enclosed outdoor area, which is a great space for children to play. - see photo The boot room is very useful, with storage for coats, a drying rack, washing machine, freezer, and storage cupboards. It was ideal for changing out of wet gear without having to traipse through the apartment. Parking is on-street, and a permit is provided for the duration of your stay.

A good spacious property. Well equipped. Milk and prosecco a nice touch. Good communication with owner if required. A nice weekend break.

Felt cold at times. Heating requires adjustment for time of year. Very cold weekend weather. Hand rail down the steps to property loose.
