Dutch Manor Boutique Hotel

I liked that the staff were very friendly and helpful. I only stayed a few hours but every request I made was met. A car was booked at 2:30 am to the airport and it was on time plus the night manager called me as requested too. I had paid for breakfast but was unable to enjoy it, so was given a packed option to eat on the plane. The shower was great - I had two, before and after my day's outing and I was really glad I'd booked a room to change and re-organise my packing instead of trying to save money and just go to the airport direct from a day of sightseeing

I think the neighbourhood was a little smelly, which wasn't pleasant at about midnight as I could smell it in my room. The views aren't good either - curtains were kept closed at all times.

The location was ideal to all the touristic spots in and around Mattancherry.

We were allowed to checkin early, but we had to pay half a day rent for that (eventhough the room was already available).

The staff was amazing, everyone was really helpful, very quick and smart to resolve any questions we had. The property was clean, comfortable and spacious! We had huge bathroom for a family room. Location of property is few minutes walking distance from Mattancherry and Jew town. Also, proximity to the Fort Kochi beach, Princess street, Napier street, Kathakali centre - all are 8-10 mins by auto/cab and 25-30 mins walking Breakfast at property had local Kerala cuisine with an option of north Indian breakfast- all extremely delicious! Mr. Praveen helped us arrange a trip to Alleppey, which was the most enjoyable part of our trip!

Overpriced for the facility and location.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. They arranged travel, booked tickets for a show and arranged a cooking demonstration in their kitchen for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Dinner was excellent quality although they wanted an hour’s notice of our order as they buy everything fresh to order. Breakfast was a more limited selection compared to bigger hotels but again excellent quality.

I was a little disappointed with the location of the property.

Water pressure was rather low, can be temporary.
