La Plaine Verte Guesthouse

The beginning was not the best because I was not given the room I booked (single room with king-size bed) because that mattress was being cleaned from bed bugs so I was worried about the other room as well (single room with two single beds, but I am not that strict on this point). There were no problems at all in the room where I stayed, but I just have to say that I was lucky that the previous guests found the bugs so that my stay went smooth without insects (also the rest of the hotel was clean). There is a little fridge in the room which is useful. The shared kitchen is fully equipped with a big fridge and a microwave. The hotel manager was nice and helpful. The location is quite near to the city centre: I would say at the edge, but within the safe area of Port Louis.

If it weren’t for the price, the score would have been 10. The only problem of this place is the price: it costs like a fancy accommodation. I am not looking for a fancy place so if it were cheap, this hotel would have been the basic yet nice place I was looking for.

It’s central next to the Food court in Port Louis, Maurice. The host was really flexible with the check out.

The room wasn’t clean and the bed sheets were full of burned out holes. The atmosphere for a women in Port Louis is just awful and due to the glass door, window and entry door that didn’t close I didn’t feel safe at all.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly The location is on the roadside and just opposite its a taxi parking and busses also pass by the premises. The place was cool and calm with no noise and the window view of Port Louis city was perfect

They should think about an option of having a restaurant on the premises
