The Imperial Hotel Exmouth

Location is fantastic.

Hotels rooms are tired and in need of updating. Work going on at a nearby hotel started before 8am and not great when you’re on holiday, but not much the hotel could do about that, but they could have warned us when we booked a balcony room. Breakfast is good, but 7.30-930 is too early when you are on holiday and on the second day they cleared away the hot food dead on 9.30 and there was no hot water for tea.

We didn’t have breakfast or an evening meal but the restaurant looked really nice. Room was fine and tho we heard complaints on line the shower was fine. There were no pressure problems. Liked the Terrace Bar in the evening too

Was a little basic and the double bed seemed small (but that may be because we’re bigger!) and the whole place could do with a little TLC.

Breakfast choices very good, staff very friendly and efficient in the dining room. Had great help when arranging for lunch with visiting relatives with 2 amall children.

Location was perfect. Breakfast choice was very good. All the staff were very pleasant. The bed mattress was really comfortable.

A facelift is required across the hotel. No pen and paper or hotel information in our room. Lift was rather slow. Parking chargers were an appalling addition. Coffee was poor. Table to table top up service is better. Warm croissants would have been nice. Missed opportunity of a small treat for my wife’s birthday. Any small recognition, or even an offer of a small bucket of ice would have made a big difference.

Not much. The hotel looks very tired, but I believe it is to undergo a complete refurbishment in time for next year’s season.

The location and the grounds. The breakfast.

The food at dinnertime. Only one key for a twin room. The extortionate prices at the bar. No fridge in the room No sockets on the walls where the beds are.
