The Fairmont Washington DC

It’s a lovely hotel and the staff are incredibly attentive, helpful, and polite. The service level is of a very high standard. The lobby is lovely and the rooms are an excellent size

Cleanliness

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. There was no porter available at the main gate to assist with luggage, and overall, the staff showed no sense of hospitality. Both check-in and check-out were slow, poorly managed, and frustrating. The service fell far below expectations. There are far better hotels in central locations that not only offer better service but also at more reasonable prices. I would not recommend this property.

My husband and I have stayed at the Fairmont numerous times, it is our go to hotel when visiting DC. Staying at the Fairmont is always a pleasure, the rooms are very clean, staff is amazing, and the location is great.

Our continued dislike is the fact that access to Wi-Fi is not considered a standard amenity, and you need to subscribe/pay for it separately. Definitely a missed opportunity for the hotel to complete its high level of customer service.
