Chill Airport Transit Stay

The grounds and the staff.

The rooms stunk of damp. The door was under 6' so I banged my head. No sheets, no toilet paper, no chair, no soap dish in the shower, no hot water, no glasses or cups.....just awful.

Nice greenery of the garden, close to airport, albeit no place to eat walking distance.

The host was intense in trying to sell me services overcharging me, which required some bargaining and assertiveness when I was tired after a long flight. Example: he proposed to come to pick me up from the airport, then tried to charge me a rate for a van (I’m a solo traveler and he could just as well come in a Tuktuk), he convinced me to change my taxi arrangements by giving me a better price (which in the end wasn’t, as I was later charged twice for highway fees) - to his benefit. He tried to add booking.com fees to the hostel bill… Potable water was charged. This all made me suspicious and a bit stressed straight on arrival, which made it a disappointing experience. I would recommend to agree on all the prices upfront via WhatsApp and not get into any sort of extra business. Use PickMe up for commute!

Room filled with toilet smell. A two-person room was given to five people and rented to five people.

Proximity to the airport. Quiet place. Nice lawn.

We arrived at 4am after overnight bus travel and found that the room given to us very stinky with tobacco smell. The front desk guy said some Russians smoked in this room. Then he moved us to next room and which even shocked us with cigarette ashes on the bed sheet and bud under the bed with same smoking stink.We somehow consoled ourselves to spend a few hours there as there was no other room available. I hope the management keep an eye on the cleaning staff, house keeper and the front desk to run their hospitality business in a better way. Over all the affordability, location and layout of the property especially the green frontyard is very convenient.

The garden was beautiful. The staff were hard workers. The staff were hard workers.

It smelled moldy.
