D'Offay Seaview Apartments

I'm so very glad I chose this place! From the moment I booked until the final check-out, it was perfect. Maryvonne, kindly offered a ride from the ferry to the apartments. She gave me information along the ride, checked me in with a welcome coconut water. My bags were carried up to my room and everything was explained. The room is spacious, fully equipped kitchen, and a gorgeous view of the pool and the ocean. Maryvonne then drove me to show me nearby places to eat, hike, swim, and get groceries. She helped me reserve a rental car as well. The property is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. It's an easy walk down to a wonderful beach with many restaurants and bars. I'm so glad I stayed in this part of Mahe. There are beautiful beaches a drive away, but it was always nice to come back to D'Offay Seaview. I also loved both my morning and evening swim in the beautiful pool. Maryvonne and her staff go above and beyond to make this feel like a five-star hotel. When you arrive, the fridge has water, butter, bread, papaya, eggs, and cheese! And finally, the AMAZING dinner hosted by her and her husband. It was wonderful to meet the other guests at dinner; we all ended up hanging out afterwards as well. It felt like being with close friends. I will 100 percent stay here next time I go to Mahe and highly recommend you book now, before it's no longer available.

Schon bei der Abholung durch Maryvone und George fing eine tolle Woche an. Auf der Fahrt zum Appartement lernte man sich kennen und erhielten auch gleich erste Informationen über die Insel und Gebäude. Beim Appartement angekommen waren wir dann begeistert über den Ausblick vom großen Balkon und auch über Ausstattung und Zustand des Appartements -alles wie neu und sehr gepflegt. Maryvone nahm sich dann gleich die Zeit, und machte in ihrem Jeep eine Rundfahrt zum Strand, zu den Restaurants und Geschäften und gab einige Empfehlungen. Dann ging Sie mit uns noch in den nahegelegenen kleinen Supermarkt. Das Appartement ist modern und neuwertig eingerichtet und auch sehr gepflegt. Maryvone und George hatten sich die Zeit genommen, mit uns eine private Tagestour rund um die Insel und quer durch die Insel auszuführen Beide haben uns viel erklärt, besondere Orte gezeigt, auch ein typisches Mittagessen in einem kleinen Restaurant am Strand und einen Badestopp hat es gegeben. An einem anderen Tag hat Maryvone uns zum Eingang des Anse Major Hiking Track gebracht. An einem Abend hatten beide gekocht und alle Gäste zum Abendessen eingeladen. Es hat hervorragend geschmeckt und es war ein sehr netter Abend zusammen. Maryvone und George sind zwei herzliche Menschen, die die Seychellen lieben und immer für die Gäste da sind. Nicht zu vergessen sind Nimashi und Layandro, die immer freundlich und zuvorkommend waren und immer ein Auge auf die Gäste hatten. Wir können, wie die vielen anderen auch, wärmstens empfehlen, für einen außergewöhnlichen Aufenthalt auf Mahe ein Appartement bei Maryvone und George zu buchen. Wir werden es auf jeden Fall wieder tun.

Très bon emplacement, appartement très grand et très équipé, la terrasse avec vue sur mer et la piscine sont impeccable, et surtout la gentillesse et la bienveillance des hôtes.

GEHEIMTIP, BESSER GEHT NICHT. Wir haben 7 Nächte in dem traumhaften Apartment verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Bilder entsprechen dem, was wir auch vorgefunden haben. Das Apartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, super sauber, Betten bequem, Küchenausstattung perfekt, Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen, Wäscheständer. Die Klimaanlage ist goldwert, so wie die Ventilatoren. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt, Wasserqualität 1A, genug Liegen, sogar noch mal extra ein Kühlschrank, um die Getränke am Pool kalt zu halten, mit Geschirr usw.. Handtücher für Liegen/Strand, werden gestellt und gewechselt. Zum Strand kommt man, wer möchte, über eine Abkürzung. Zur Mitte des Strandes, wo etwas mehr los ist, Essen/Trinken, benötigt man gemütliches Gehen ca: 20 Minuten. Wenn es heiß ist, ganz schön anstrengend und es gibt oft keine Bürgersteige. Wir haben uns soäter ein Auto gemietet (Tag 50,- Euro) und im Linksverkehr die Insel erobert. Die Gastgeber und das Personal sind mega nett. Man bekommt jede Menge Informationen und am ersten Tag hat Sie uns alles mit dem Auto gezeigt, damit man sich in der Umgebung zu recht findet. Wenn das kein Service ist. Wir wurden sogar, mit den anderen Bewohnern, zu einem kreolischen, selbgekochten Buffet überrascht. Für die schöne Zeit einfach noch mal Danke.

Náš pobyt byl naprosto skvělý. Majitelé jsou neuvěřitelně milí, ochotní a jejich pohostinnost předčila všechna naše očekávání. Od příjezdu až po odjezd jsme se cítili vítaní a opravdu opečovaní. Dostali jsme od nich ovoce z jejich zahrady a startovací balíček na snídaně. Majitelé nás i pozvali na pravou kreolskou večeři, bylo to moc milé a jídlo vynikající. Ubytování je čisté, pohodlné a má nádherný výhled na oceán, který jsme si užívali každý den. Lokalita je klidná, ideální pro odpočinek, a zároveň blízko všeho, co jsme potřebovali i blízko pláže. Velmi jsme ocenili vybavení kuchyně vč. kávovaru na kapsle Nespresso, velkou lednici i pračku – díky tomu jsme s sebou nemuseli vozit tolik věcí. Všechno je nové v perfektním stavu. Byl to jeden z nejhezčích pobytů, jaké jsme kdy zažili. Rádi se vrátíme a toto ubytování doporučujeme všem, kdo hledají klid, krásné prostředí a skvělý servis.

Everything you read on the reviews about Maryvonne and George is true! They, together with their staff Namishi and Layandro go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We arrived much earlier than the check in time provided. After our long flight Maryvonne made sure that she had a room available for us where we can rest and freshen up until our apartment was ready. We received a welcome coconut and to add to the special service she drove us around the area so we had a feel of where we are, providing tips of where to eat, snorkel and have a cocktail. This is an exceptional service. In addition to this Maryvonne and George took us ok a hike to a beautiful secluded beach. George cooked an amazing creole dinner on our last night and when I was sick Maryvonne and the staff were attentive and sharing tips and tea on how to get better. It’s not easy to explain in a short review how special they all are, so my advice is to just book. The appartement we stayed in was spacious and the shower amazing. We did miss a dishwasher, so I used my husband for washing the dishes 🤣 The pool area is relaxing and another showcase of service is? When you are at the pool Namishi and Layandro provide you with some snacks to enjoy your time there even more.

If we would have to not-pick ( but honestly this is nit-picking) it would be good to know that the accommodation is on a hill. This provides an amazing view, but if you would not have a car it would be a bit challenging to get from and to the apartment.

Nice large accommodation with a separate bedroom, livingroom and bathroom. The balcony with the views was lovely and the host provided a fabulous buffet meal one evening for all guests and also some provisions on arrival. The pool and pool area was beautiful and towels were provided.

The room was not serviced every day.

This was honestly one of the best guesthouse experiences I’ve ever had — and I’ve travelled a lot and stayed in many 5-star hotels. The service here was on another level. The owners really treat you better than most luxury hotels ever could. The rooms were perfect: spotless, spacious, very well-equipped, and cleaned to a really high standard. The whole place is beautiful, with a sparkling clean pool and a lovely house set on a hill with amazing views. They even filled the fridge for us with breakfast, fresh fruit and everything we needed. The location is stunning — peaceful, with great views, and just a short drive down to the beach. Staying here honestly made me fall in love with the Seychelles even more. One of those places you never forget. Highly recommended.
