No air condition but fan, quite hot

This guesthouse is conveniently located with less than 10 minutes walking to the city centre, the Temple of the Tooth and other points of interest. It has a lovely garden setting above the lake. We enjoyed a warm welcome with a cup of tea. The check-in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They had reduced tickets for the daily Kandyan Dance performance with good seating on offer and could also arrange hiking tours in the Knuckles Forest Reserve with a professional guide.

Please keep in mind that Google Maps might be misleading you during navigation mode. However, the location is set correctly. It is easy to miss the road, especially after sunset. The guesthouse is not signposted. Take the small road uphill in direction towards the "Hillwood College" (see attached photo).

芝生の庭が綺麗で、そこからの景色が良かったです。建物の中は清潔でした。スタッフはとても親切で、次の宿泊先に電話して交通経路を確認してくれました。早朝のトゥクトゥクの手配は困難だったのに、長い時間掛けてやって頂いたのには感謝します。

私の部屋は山側に小さめの窓があり、扇風機のみだったので暑かったです。一度窓を開け放しにしていたら、猫が入ってきて驚きました。できれば湖側に窓があって景色の良いグレードアップした部屋を取ることをお勧めします。 シャワーの温度を調節する位置に背の低い私には届かず、重い椅子を持っていかなければならず、最初の晩は温いお湯で我慢しました。 次の宿泊先に電話して、バスのベストルートを教えてくれました。しかし、結果的に遠回りで、10時間も掛けて行くはめになりました。どこで間違いが生じたのかわかりませんが、スタッフが親身になってくれた分、残念です。

I had an absolutely wonderful 2-night stay at this hotel. The location is perfect and very central. The owner and the staff were incredibly genuine and kind-hearted. It was so refreshing to meet people in Sri Lanka who don't just approach you with the motive to sell something. Also, every other hotel we've stayed at so far has been very insistent about us leaving a positive review, but here, they didn't even bring it up. They really made us feel at home, offering complimentary fruit juice, tea, coffee, and snacks every single day. Whenever we had questions, they provided excellent and very helpful information. Highly recommended!

Some traffic noise

Very nice staff. They stored our bags for 24h while we were hiking around Kandy.

It was so hot in the room.
