Karamba Eco Boutique Hotel

Perfect location for beautiful sunsets over the sea. The hotel is in a quiet spot and thus offers peace and calm. The food is good, both breakfast and dinner - we enjoyed those times.

No wifi in the rooms, only in the restaurant. Also, water and coffee sachets are given on day 1 but never refilled again. With no supermarket nearby you are pretty much stuck. No fridge. The fan in the room is noisy and disturbs sleep. Would’ve thought ‘boutique hotel’ could afford to provide air conditioner.

The location, the staff and the foods were exxxxxcelent!

Amazing location! Quiet, clean and wonderful staff. Great hospitality and we had an amazing view of the ocean.

Limited items on the menu and an hour away from town. Other than that, it was great!

Karamba is located next to a small tidal basin where fisherman bring in their catches for the day. It’s also very near to a marine are where you can go snorkeling and dolphin watching. It’s very quiet and quite nice.

There seemed to be a lack of attention to details and the place needs to be spruced up a bit. Generally fixtures, linens, and similar things tended toward the tired side. They charge for water, which is a bit strange and unnecessary in a hotel of this price category, particularly when 1.5 liter bottles of water cost very little in Tanzania. Similarly, there is a limit what you can eat for breakfast, which also seems unnecessarily miserly in a 4* hotel.

Beach was nice to explore with kids. There's lot of crabs and other stuff , especially in the evening. So torch and surf shoes is highly recommended. During high tide you can swim. Nice view and garden.

Bungalows are bit worn out. Too remote location - no restaurant/shops near by. Hotel and restaurant overpriced.

Very nice atmosphere, beautiful resort, the family rooms are big with high ceilings. walking trail along the ocean towards your room. Extremely friendly staff, helpful host. En the outside shower was simply amazing. The breakfast and others food in the restaurant was really good. We would definitely recommend.

Great hotel with very nice bungalows in beautiful garden. Great restaurant with very good breakfast and amazing dinners. And nice swimming pool with amazing sea view. We loved it.
