Beach Front Cottage Napier

kitchen a little small, not much hot water coming from second shower (near kitchen).

Place looked like it could do with a good. clean, towels need to be replaced. Very, very thin. ( my dogs bath towels are better than those provided). No shower curtain in the second bathroom. Rubbish around the front door which should have been removed.

There was a lot of space and 2 bathrooms. It was over the road from the beach, quiet, and kust a short walk to town. You can park on the driveway or out the front without being worried about your car.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Location was great. Many games and books available in room.

We did not have the correct code for the key lock box, when we asked the host he said he had already SMS'd it to us but we are yet to receive the message, apart from that it was a nice stay. Rooms were large but layout seemed a bit strange. A little tired.

Both showers - especially the one in the combined laundry/bathroom were terrible. Water pressure was non- existent. Adjusting the temperature of the water was near on impossible - either scorching hot or freezing cold. Disappointing as other than that the house was comfortable and well equipped.

No hot water in one shower - there was some the following morning No shower curtain in the other but they are renovating that one No plug for the kitchen sink - difficult to do dishes Towels left for us on the beds were damp and needed tumble drying Heatpump in the main room would not heat above 10degs Very noisy when next door came home and whole place shook when they out there washing machine onto spin!

Extremely expensive for what it was, a clean diy'd and freshly painted but old house with outdated amnenities. For example the kitchen plug was in pieces but it had no dishwasher, washing machine installed and plugged in right next to the shower. We have stayed in 4 bedroom lakefront and beachfront houses for less than $500 a night. However if paying a third the price it would be more reasonably priced stay.

Great location. Homely feeling. Dog friendly.

Thin walls, could hear everything in the "house" next door. Bath is poor condition and not useable (no plug, paint flaking).

Roomy, very comfortable sofas and bed. Good heating. Very homely.
