Riverside Bungalow Don Det

Amazing location overlooking the river with hammocks to relax in. The beds are comfortable, towels and soap provided. The staff are very kind. Laundry and bike rental available, as well as water and other drinks.

The bug net was too small for a double bed. There are rats around. Don’t leave food in your bags in your room because they will chew through your bag!

Relatively quiet location outside main bit of town. Good food at Gecko next door. Nice to have two hammocks outside room with river view. Enjoyed day out exploring with their rented bicycles.

Mosquito net didn't fit bed. Leaky tap. No space for storing clothes. Quite thin walls and veranda shared intimately with neighbours. Seemed overpriced compared to similar stays in the region.

Rat came in each night. Keeping us awake. chewed through 2 bags Bathroom was very smelly

Nice place with a great view of the river. Good price, a very basic place with weak facilities. You can rent a bicycle for 30,000 (USD1.5) per day in there.

There is no hot water for the shower, which was a big problem for me, no soap, shampoo... There is no buttle of water in the room or even kettle or hot water for tea or coffee or any food at the entire place. The staff almost don't speak English and they didn't answer me when I sent them questions on booking .com app. No hair dryer. No AC (at the time I went there, we had cool weather). The path from the boat point is about 12-15 min walk and at night some parts are too dark with no houses, for me it was OK.

- relaxed accommodation and surroundings, facing sunrise side of the island - Generally clean and comfortable - Fan was enough to keep the room pleasant - we rented bikes for a day and they were in considerable good condition - We got our onward transport organized with the accommodation with pick up. - we got some mosquito spray for the room - The hammocks on the balcony were cool and d relaxing, with a nice view to the river - The WiFi was quite decent

- on the first night, we arrived around sunset after a 10h journey. Unfortunately, we got to know that we were put in another building, instead of the bungalow we booked for that night. On the next day at 10am, we would need to swap to the bungalow… it was unpleasant for us that the room we booked weeks in advance was not available and we needed to plan our next day with being at 10am ready to swap room - the room we got for the first night was ok, but didn’t have a mosquito net, which was a criteria we used when booked the room in first place - In the first room we got a cockroach, but looked like it got inside and we could kick it out. - There was only cold shower, but with the hot weather, was not so bad - Unfortunately, the pick up tuktuk did not come on time, and while the host was there doing some phone calls to get the tuktuk, she was not really communicate and we felt stressed that we would miss the boat/bus. After 30m waiting, we could still get the last boat.

Spacious room with very comfortable bed. Basic bathroom, just fine. Hammocks were great for chilling. Not too far from the centre/ferry by foot. Bike hire for a great price!

Great quiet location

Very nice place, the bungalows are clean and the beds are comfortable. The hamacs on the lake are perfect to spend time when it gets too hot

You can get pretty much the same think for half the price if you just ask in any other bungalow place
