Peaceful Palms Montego Bay

Nathaniel was a very good host, he was aware of our needs and was always very predisposed to everything! The place is very clean!! If I had to go back on vacation to Montego Bay, he would definitely want me at his house again!!

Has potential. Didn’t stay long enough to explore the front yard with the palm trees.

The host was approachable, however based on our experience there and the fact that we lost our money due to a failure on the host’s part to meet basic accommodation expectations, I need to post this candid review for others that may find it helpful. AC was an additional $7.00 a night per room, so not necessarily fair advertising since other venues includes this in the pricing since AC is pretty much a necessity. The apartment was not kept very clean - the bottom of my feet turn black after walking for a few minutes. Hosts lived in during stay, and other guests were booked alongside us. The refrigerator wasn’t cleaned to standards I’ve come to expect based on other bookings and the hosts occupied more than half of the refrigerator leaving one shelf at the bottom for my family and other guests that were booked with us to share. We booked 2 rooms and had kids, the host saw this and said nothing before hand, fully knowing that the fee was eventually non refundable as the booking date approached. We were towards the front of the house, while the kids room was in the back with other adult guests in the house. The house has many rooms and when booking a party with kids the host should make the guests aware of the arrangements and possibly the floor plan. The house has sections that could exist independently, e.g separate kitchen and dining, but for some reason the host has one TV and refrigerator - which they were using while we were there. The other adjoined living room where our main bedroom was had no TV, the kitchen in that section was dirty and refrigerator was unplugged. Also bathroom in the front section wasn’t bad, however the other room beside us in that section was occupied by other guests, so I guess the intent was to have us share a bathroom with strangers. These are some of the things the host should keep in mind. The pool area looked okay, but there was significant amount of sediment in the bottom of the pool looking through the window.

I love and highly recommend this location! its under 10 min from the airport. The view from the pool is absolutely breathtaking.The host Nathan, has a great personality. Very accommodating and very informative! He was there with you every step of the way.. Made sure that my stay was comfortable and very accommodating. He helped with providing transport to the airport for a small fee. I will definitely used this location again. I highly recommend this location.

I did not like that they didn't have curtain the bathroom window. Sharing his frigerator space.. I also recommend having mosquito screens for the entrance doors. Needs a small chair in the room.

Nathaniel the host, was personable and willing to help when requested, e.g. letting us use his phone when we had an issue with our rental car. The villa was really close to the airport, had a great view and a good pool.

The villa was not advertised as a shared property, yet it was shared with another family during our stay. One room was also advertised as having an en-suite, which it did not. Facilities were inadequate for the number of guests. One kitchen was unusable, and the kitchenette had no working cooker, fridge, or light. The side living room was unusable due to very poor lighting and no TV. The main living room TV was dominated by another family, and at one point was removed for two days and placed in the owner’s bedroom without explanation before being returned and again taken over by the other family. There were not enough amenities for the number of people staying. Water pressure was very poor due to overuse. Noise was also an issue, with loud music until 2am one night. If the villa is to be shared, a curfew should be in place. There were serious safety and appropriateness concerns. The owner misplaced marijuana chocolate, which could have been found and eaten by a child. After a late-night party, the owner and his girlfriend’s wet clothes were left by the pool the next morning, suggesting inappropriate behaviour in a shared space, which was noticed by one of our children. A large flip knife was left on a TV stand in the side living room, posing a serious risk, particularly as there was a toddler present. Housekeeping and basic provisions were poor. Only four towels were provided for six people, with no hand towels or kitchen towels. Beds were changed only once in 10 days. Linen changes had to be requested and were not fully provided; clean hand towels and bath mats were never replaced after dirty ones were returned. The shared bathroom and en-suite did not appear clean on arrival and did not seem to be cleaned during the stay. Management and organisation were also lacking. When new guests arrived, the owner was at the beach and current guests had to facilitate their arrival and contact him to return. Overall, sadly the villa is not up to standard.

Das Haus war sehr weit weg von allem. Klimaanlage muss seperat bezahlt werden. Sehr laute Gäste. Alles in die Jahre gekommen. Schlafzimmer schon besonders möbiliert

There wasn't anything particular that stood out about this place

I did not like the fact that we were charged for the use of the AC which was not stated prior to our arrival and the bathroom had nothing in it. Nothing welcoming . It a good thing I packed essentials.. Which generally most airbnb or hotels provide essentials for your stay as the bare minimum especially charging guest so much money

The property was amazing good view as well

In the rooms, there wasn’t no TV, but not a big issue
