Riverside Annex at Ashbank

Amazing! Views, cleanliness and lovely hot tub!

It was lovely and quiet. Incredibly beautiful the river running along the back of the garden was stunning. Very clean and well kept. Didn't really see the owners which was nice only saw them when I asked for some batteries 🫣😂😂

Nothing really to dislike. Any issue I had was met with a prompt reply from the owner.

I had a great time and highly recommend this property if you are looking for some peace and quiet. The host welcomed me in person (which is rare these days) and actively encouraged me to make full use of the beautiful garden right next to the river. A real highlight was using the hot tub at night, it’s incredibly comfortable, relaxing, and just such a nice experience under the night sky. The property itself is clean, fairly modern, and fully equipped with all the amenities I could need for a short stay. Location-wise, it hits the perfect balance: it is very quiet, yet all essential amenities are less than a 5-minute drive away. It's also right near a major interchange, making it easy to navigate to various destinations around the Lakes. Keswick is just a convenient 20 to 30-minute drive.

The shower doors are a little bit clunky to operate, but they work perfectly fine as long as you close them gently. It didn't impact my stay at all.

The location of the house was good and quiet. The river at the bottom of the garden was lovely as was the garden.

Although some people would like it, we are not sure that we feel completely comfortable staying in the owners garden but not seeing them on arrival or departure but that's just our preference. Nothing else to mention.

Good location in Penrith. Nice and clean with a wonderful garden with the river Eden at the bottom. The hot tub is lovely and you have a nice feeling of isolation and privacy. The town centre is a 5 minute drive and you have access to all the areas of the lakes from the roundabout just to the left. Would happily return.

No issues at the property but I would recommend you call the 2 local pubs if you want to eat. I tried one each night but they were not serving.

If we was going to cook more and use the kitchen then a few more utensils and pots and pans would have been helpful.

Beautiful setting. Gardens and river were gorgeous. Good location for an easy walk into Penrith. Annexe had all the facilities you would need for a short stay. Friendly and clear communication from the owner.

Shower head did not stay in its bracket. We couldn’t find any switches to turn lights on around hot tub which made it tricky getting in. Would have been appreciated to have had Tea Coffee Sugar and milk supplied
