I recently stayed at a cottage in downtown St. Louis. While the location was great, my experience with the host was disappointing. The host was extremely rigid, bordering on rude. She charged me $35 for early check-in, but I only received the check-in instructions 40 minutes before the normal check-in time. The kitchen sink was blocked and emitted a terrible smell when the dishwasher was used, causing food to come back up. We ended up having to scoop most of it out ourselves. Additionally, the shower door wouldn’t close properly. It’s apparent that no one reports these issues to the host because of her attitude. The host also monitors guests’ comings and goings with a camera, which felt intrusive. To top it off, she kept my deposit, claiming we damaged an electrical socket cover. Despite apologizing and asking twice about the replacement cost, she ignored me and kept the deposit. A simple, courteous response explaining her decision would have been appreciated. Overall, while the location was convenient, the lack of hospitality and unresolved issues made the stay less than enjoyable.

Very cute loft in a great location. Very little soap and shampoo were on hand. Floor was a bit sticky and dirty but everything else was clean. They had just 2 clean towels and knew we had more then 2 people. It is not comfortable for more them 2 people. The couch is extremely uncomfortable as a bed. We had 3 people sp it was a bit cozy. It's safe but you need to have your phone handy to get in and out of elevator and gate which is annoying at times but at least you know you are safe.
