Osprey, Longhouse Cottages

Osprey is in a perfect location if you want to get away from it all & enjoy a wonderful sea view. The cottage is well appointed for your stay.

The location is stunning. Be prepared for a drive up an unmade road but once you arrive your view is spectacular. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you need if you want to self cater. The beds were really comfortable .

Nothing.

The location was superb and the views over the Moray Firth were amazing. The beds were comfortable and there was room for everyone to relax and to sit together around the large dining table. The kids enjoyed playing outside.

A few issues which weren’t of too much concern to us but might need attention. Bolt on bathroom door can’t bolt as the housing has come off. Little door on the dishwasher tablet compartment has come off. Only minor. Recognising that the cottage is in the countryside of course but there were areas which hadn’t been dusted or cleaned, just top of picture frames and hard to reach areas. Maybe time for a deep clean. Everything else was clean, beds etc. Only possible to light one of the gas rings at once. Luckily we were mainly able to eat out or with family. We do not have dogs and we did know the place is dog friendly - not a problem - and there was no doggy smell. However, when the vacuum cleaner was switched on, there was an overpowering smell of dog, very unpleasant and we would not have used the vacuum again for that reason.

The location was perfect, stunning view. Everything was great, it felt like we were at home! The house had all the resources we needed. No issues at all.

Fantastic location. Excellent facilities.

Amazing views across the Moray firth, quiet and being midge free was a bonus.

Sitting room sofas are too low. Could do with some legs on them.
