Garth at Wetheral Cottages

Situated in a small village with a pub and a village hall. Quiet location to relax after a days sightseeing/event. Ideally located to visit Lake District. Four bedrooms with very, very comfortable beds. We all slept very well. Very well equipped as a whole, there was nothing missing that we needed. Convenient parking, a short drive to the nearest supermarket in Penrith. Simply a really good place to stay! Would definitely return!

The hairdryer didn’t work - probably a fuse or something and as we were going to a wedding this was a little inconvenient, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Maybe having two in a cottage that sleeps ten might be the way to go. Also we had shopped beforehand but forgot milk and there is literally nothing nearby so come equipped! It would not stop be staying here again.

Good location, quiet and peaceful. Cottage is fairly spacious and well equipped.

Great communication from the host very soon after booking, which was really reassuring. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed, all very clean and everything worked as it should. Loved the character. Set in a quiet location with a lovely welcoming pub, and a small well-equipped children's playground, which our two made use of, both a five-minute walk down the road (if that). Given the opportunity in the future, we would stay here again.

Two nights here wasn't enough! 😊
