Holbrook Bed and Breakfast

lovely breakfast nice room convenient and a beautiful town

The cooked breakfast was fantastic! It took quite a while to cook, but there was so much of it, we didn't need to eat again till that evening! The b&b owners are Northerners and the only thing that beats a Northern breakfast is an Ulster Fry!! 😊 I loved the size of the bathroom sink. I'm used to struggling with tiny sinks, so this was a real pleasure. One surprising little touch that I've not seen anywhere else... the provision of earplugs! 😊

It's not the proprietors fault, but the main road is incredibly busy until quite late at night. Directly opposite there's a large petrol station and fast food place. The light coming from them was extremely bright. Again, not Holbrook's fault, but definitely something to be aware of... and probably why they provide earplugs! 🤣 The TV signal was intermittent to the point of being unwatchable. However, we arrived in the middle of Storm 'Bert', so I expect that that was the reason.

Good location, 10 minutes walk from town centre. Clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet.

Wonderful owners. Lovely to talk with and were very helpful. Great breakfast. Comfortable large room with everything we needed and with xtras. Good location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holbrook house and Diane was a lovely host and very chatty,our accommodation was very comfortable and quiet breakfast in the morning was delicious and a lot of choice all in all excellent break.

What a breakfast, quite brilliant

The owners were very good hosts and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The room was large, with everything you could need for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows, although this is obviously a personal preference thing. Earplugs were provided as the building is on a main road, however they were not needed as the traffic was light and not too intrusive. The B & B had a large sign in the front making it easy to find as it was just off a large roundabout. Breakfast was excellent with a very large choice of options including the full English which was very well cooked.

The en-suite looked a bit dated although the shower itself was excellent.

Excellent breakfast: choice of cereals & fresh blueberries, raspberries & strawberries - follow by a lovely full English. Friendly staff & off-road parking
