Cycle Guest House SHIOKAZE

Great location for riding the Shimanami Kaido. Used this as a base for riding 3 days around the various islands. Also the room offered more space and a place to store and recharge eBikes. Also a shared area with a kitchen, refrigerator and basic vending machines on sight. Also washers and dryers were available along with a bathtub.

The bead/mattress was basically on the floor so no space underneath to story anything and also getting up off the floor is a pain.

Clean and easy access with electronic codes, cheap to stay.

Noisy - beside dog kennel, small bunks and crowded room, recommend getting room not bunks.

A bit difficult not to have staff there to help with check in and to make sure the door was closed, etc. Mattress and pillow weren’t the most comfy

This hostel was very spacious, and had an amazing shower. Great value, comfortable sleep in the middle of our ride, and also featuring good proximity to restaurants, stores, and Kousan-ji.

The check-in advance procedure was a little onerous. We should've ignored the emails and done it all on the iPad in the vestibule.

Great location, easy check in, excellent clean bedroom, good temperature control and had a great nights sleep. Staff were lovely. Great facilities they really did think of everything like meal vending machines etc

It was right along the shimanami kaido route which was great, with quite a few stores around the area.

Easy to find, right on the cycle route. 5 mins cycle ride from temple & 'central' area of Setoda. Rooms had toilets & sink, shared bath and shower. Could keep bikes in room. Common area with kettle & microwave & vending machines with food which given the lack of restaurants was very useful

Not the fault of the hotel but we only found one place open to eat & that closed at 7pm. In the morning only one cafe open which a kind local took us to. Lack of places to eat along the whole route apart from convenience stores- the locals don't seem to want to take advantage of all the passing trade!
