Villa Penyu Gili Trawangan

We did not expect much, and we had the best time! Accommodation is modern but cosy, pool is very well located and accessible. Restaurant food is nice and a big variety. The beach is riiiight there, with hotel beach beds and beach towels. One day we just rented snorkels in a stall next to the hotel, and we saw 4-5 turtles on the beach just in front of the hotel. A really great stay, very attentive staff. Thank you! Oh and beeeeautiful sunset from the hotel beach&restaurant.

De locatie was perfect, lekker rustig en snorkelen kon direct voor het resort. Het eten is erg lekker, geen noodzaak om een andere plek te zoeken. Er kwamen zelfs veel toeristen van andere hotels hier eten. Personeel super vriendelijk en open. Ze gebruiken na een paar dagen al je naam en zorgen dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Het zwembad ligt er schitterend bij, omdat de zee zo dichtbij is werd het niet veel gebruikt maar het is echt een plaatje. Vanuit de haven waar je aankomt is het een half uur lopen, als je geen gebruik wil maken van de paarde wagentjes dan is dat nog wel iets om rekening mee te houden. Onze familiekamer had een eigen zwembad, dat is meer een dompel badje. Na het snorkelen kan het wel lekker zijn om daar even in te springen. Kamers zijn schoon, bedden prima en de badkamer in onze villa was heel ruim.

Er waren kleine dingetjes die wat onderhoud konden gebruiken, zo zat er bijvoorbeeld een kraan iets los. Het eigen zwembadje zat vol bladeren en werd gedurende het verblijf ook niet schoongemaakt.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Penyu. The location is fabulous. It has a very peaceful and laid back feeling but it’s a less than a 10 minute ride (the hotel can organise bikes for you) into the busy port area where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The water in front is beautiful and the snorkelling is great. Head out deeper to see lots of varieties of fish but for the turtles, stay in close as they cruise past Villa Penyu every morning eating sea grass. The food at Villa Penyu is delicious. Breakfast is a small a la carte menu with enough options for variety and it was all great. Real coffee too! We stayed in the two bedroom family villa. It was great for us as our kids are older but if you have young kids, please note the two bedrooms do not have an interconnecting door. Both rooms open out to a court yard that has a small plunge pool. The beds were super comfy! The thing that makes Villa Penyu so great are the beautiful staff. They are so genuinely helpful and kind and will do anything to help you. Special mention for Heru - the loveliest man! Also to Hadi, Wun, Ariya and Shan. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the bed was super comfortable, the room nice and spacious and grounds very clean.

We loved our stay here . Excellent food , clean hotel and very good service . Breakfast on the beach , with loungers reserved for the hotel guests . We had gorgeous views for all meals here . And you can rent find and snorkel right outside the hotel , turtle point is very near .

룸 2개인 패밀리 빌라에 머물렀습니다. 수전이며 시설이 거의 새것 같았는데 사장님께 듣기로 패밀리룸 빌라가 지은 지 얼마 안되었다고 하시더라구요. 벌레는 발리&길리 어딜가도 있을수밖에 없어서 그걸 빼고 시설은 깨끗하게 잘 관리되어서 좋았습니다. 룸도 그렇고 식당이나 해변옆 테이블, 비치테이블까지 관리가 살뜰히 잘되고 있어서 편하게 이용했어요. 바로 앞쪽이 터틀 포인트라 그냥 앞바다 걸어나가서 스노클링 가능합니다. 아이들과 신나게 스노클링 했네요. 어린아이들은 어차피 깊은 바다 스노클링은 물 밑에 내려갈수 없어 잘 보이지도 않아 그냥 앞바다 나가서 거북이랑 수영해본걸 훨씬 좋아했어요. 수영장도 정말 길어서 제대로 수영하는 느낌이 납니다. 스탭들도 매우 친절하고 요청사항에 바로 응대해줘서 좋았습니다. 음식도 호텔 식당에서 자주 먹었는데, 피자, 스테이크 맛있었고 떡볶이, 김치볶음밥도 가족들이 좋아했어요. 웰컴드링크로 수박주스를 주셨는데 첫인상부터 맛있고 좋았던게 생각나네요. 롬복으로 나올때도 호텔에서 소개받은 기사님 통해서 시세보다 싸게 예약해서 이동했어요! 길리에 대한 좋은 기억은 villa penyu에 묵은 덕인 것 같네요. 길리를 또 간다면 꼭 다시 숙박하고 싶습니다.
